Free to Students: Class of 2020 Salute with Matt Dillon, Lee Stringer, David Brancaccio, Lewis Black, Terrian Barnes, Judy Pancoast & more
About this Event
Calling all 2020 Grads! Join an unceremonious Virtual Graduation Party in your honor with a commencement speech by Kurt Vonnegut!
Hear actor Matt Dillon, author Lee Stringer, (who collaborated with Vonnegut on the book Like Shaking Hands with God), journalist David Brancaccio, singer Judy Pancoast, Indianapolis Colts exec Steve Campbell, influencer and KVML Board member Terrian Barnes, comedians Lewis Black and Scott Long, and more in a roundtable reading of one of the many commencement speeches Vonnegut delivered. The speech is available in the new paperback edition of If This Isn’t Nice, What Is?, edited by Dan Wakefield and for sale at vonnegutlibrary.org.
Tune in for a performance by musician David Sasso and Kat Wallace. Plus there will be a special roll call of all 2020 graduates who join the party by Black.
Students can register here for a free ticket. Family and friends and Vonnegut fans can buy your tickets here to honor our graduates.
The event is the grand finale of a month-long celebration of the Class of 2020 by the Kurt Vonnegut Museum & Library and Seven Stories Press, who have co-hosted live graduation events every Tuesday in May.
To add to the fun, our friend Ed Battista and his team at Bluebeard restaurant in Indianapolis are creating a special cocktail and virgin cocktail for this final Kurt Vonnegut Graduation Party.
Grab a ticket and the recipe is yours.
